It took three years of silence to find my voice. Three years after my husband died to find out who I am. I'm beginning to learn about the one called me and am discovering that I like her a lot.
Hello Friends,
What has happened to this Writer Bug?
Well, as some of you know, in 2018 my husband left the earth. I was disabled and had a lot of recoveries to get through. I also lost finances, my internet, phone, and all of my web pages, except this blog, which I was not able to update. A lot has been restored since. God and my friends have helped me through those difficult times and taught me to laugh again, smile, and enjoy another painted sky for another day. To all of you, I say a heartfelt thank you.
What did that time teach me? Skills. Brand new shiny skills. Determination. And an I can do this spirit. An unlocked door to a new creative world. Survival sharpens our instincts. Skills learned. New ways of doing old things.
Challenge brings character. That character sometimes dreams up other characters on the spot who serve only to mess up all the neat plans with their dirty tricks. You know who they are, the protagonists, the main narrators who challenge your voice at every phrase. They refuse to shut up. They are like seagulls who steal your french fries.
As you know, Science Fiction has a huge place in my brain. You have a special place in my heart.
Hence, I have returned with the birth of a new universe. Some old, some new characters, plus new stories to tell. But not only stories; lore, song, and poetry that exist from within the worlds I create, and the characters within.
I am building the new bones. I hope to have a new website in the future. It will take some time, perhaps even months.
Meanwhile, I hope that you take the time to discover new things about yourself, to explore new possibilities. The world around us is a song. Find your special lyric. Stick to the higher frequencies where joy abides. Create new challenges for yourself. May your life become happier in the days to come.
May you find, as I did, peace and solace in the painted skies, and know that you are very much loved.
Thank you for sticking with me,
Sincerely,
Cyg
